  • The layout is optimised for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768
  • Current version of » Acrobat Reader.
  • GO-3 token or Digipass 260 token

Identification procedure

PIN/token procedure using the GO-3 token (response-only procedure)

  • Your personal identification number (PIN), which you need in order to log in, authorises you to use VIP@Sign.
  • You need a transaction number (TAN) to perform transactions. This six-digit number is generated dynamically and is valid for a limited period of time. You obtain a TAN by pressing a key on the GO-3 token.
  • The token generates the dynamic TAN using a threefold data encryption system (3DES).

PIN/token procedure with Digipass 260 token (challenge-response procedure)

  • Your personal identification number (PIN), which you need in order to log in, authorises you to use VIP@Sign.
  • Dynamic TAN provided by the Digipass 260 token:

The token is activated by a four-digit, freely selectable hardware PIN. This PIN authorises you to use the token. If you enter an incorrect PIN five times, the token becomes blocked.

VIP@Sign initiates the process to authorise a transaction by sending you a six-digit request number. Enter this number into the token, which then calculates a dynamic seven-digit transaction number (TAN). Complete the process by entering this TAN, which is only valid for a limited period of time, into VIP@Sign.

The token generates the dynamic TAN using a threefold data encryption system (3DES).

Instructions for first access

Activation:

When your access to VIP@Sign has been set up, you will receive one letter containing your username and PIN (personal identification number) and another, separate letter containing your token.

The PIN letter includes a confirmation of receipt slip. Please sign it with a legally binding signature and return it once you receive your token. Your access to VIP@Sign will be fully activated once you have returned the confirmation of receipt.

Login:

When you start VIP@Sign, the login window appears.

Please enter your username and PIN from the PIN letter in the corresponding fields in the login form. The first time you log in you will immediately be asked for security reasons to set a new PIN. Please note that your new PIN must consist of no fewer than six characters and no more than 16, and may only contain the numbers 0 to 9 and letters A to Z. Your PIN is case-sensitive.

Changing your initial PIN:

You need a TAN in order to change your initial PIN. How you find this TAN depends on your chosen procedure as described below.

Dynamic TAN provided by your GO-3 token for the response-only procedure

Generate a six-digit dynamic TAN using the token provided. Instructions for the use of the token are enclosed in the letter sent with your token. Enter the TAN in the relevant field on the login form and submit the order to change your initial PIN.

Note:

You will be requested to enter a TAN to authorise each instruction. This TAN will be generated on request by your token and can be used only once. For security reasons the TAN generated by your token changes after a pre-defined length of time (36 seconds).

NB:

Your token’s clock is synchronised with our bank system during every transaction. If it has been more than three months since you last used your token, you may find that a time discrepancy has developed and that the TANs from your token are consequently not accepted. If this happens to you, please contact us.

Dynamic TAN provided by your Digipass 260 token for the challenge-response procedure

Generate a six-digit dynamic TAN using the token provided. Follow the corresponding instructions in the token user manual to generate the TAN. Enter your hardware PIN to identify yourself to your token. If the PIN is correct, the token will ask you to enter the application number (“APPLI”) of the challenge-response procedure. Please enter “1”. Next, find the six-digit number that appears in the “Request Number” field of the application and enter it into the token. The token responds by displaying a seven-digit TAN. Enter this TAN in the relevant field on the login form and submit the order to change your initial PIN.

Note:

You will be requested to enter a seven-digit TAN to authorise each instruction. This TAN will be generated on request by your token as described above. For security reasons the TAN generated by your token can only be used once and changes after a pre-defined length of time (36 seconds).

NB:

Your token’s clock is synchronised with our bank system during every transaction. If it has been more than three months since you last used your token, you may find that a time discrepancy has developed and that the TANs from your token are consequently not accepted. If this happens to you, please contact us.

Please refer to the text notes and help service within the application for further information.
