Company Profile

With a workforce of 6,000 and total assets of Euro 157,7 bn (as of 30 June, 2011), the Helaba Group is one of Germany’s leading Landesbanks. As well as effectively having two HQs - in Frankfurt am Main and Erfurt – it is also represented at important financial centres worldwide through its regional offices, representative offices and affiliates.

Our business activities are concentrated in three areas: our Multinational Company Business division offers the full range of financial services to corporations, banks and institutional investors from a single source; via our S-Group bank in our Private Customer and SME Business division we provide the Sparkassen in Hesse and Thuringia with high quality financial products and services. Through our subsidiaryFrankfurter Sparkassethe Helaba Group is the region’s market leader in retail banking. We also have a foothold in the dynamic growth area of direct banking, with 1822direkt. Through our Public Development and Infrastructure business we finance development programmes for the state of Hesse, as well as being involved in numerous other development schemes in both Hesse and Thuringia.
